Fujifilm GFX 100S Manual - Continuing the success of Fujifilm GFX100, Fujifilm officially announced its second generation GFX 100S. The camera retains a 102 megapixel medium format sensor like its first generation. The difference is that the GFX100S body design is much more compact, the size of a mirrorless camera with a full frame sensor.
Overall GFX100S body design is 30% smaller than GFX100. Its weight is also lighter which is only 900 grams. GFX100 weighs about 1400 grams. At first glance the dimensions of the body and weight are not much different from the mirrorless medium format Fujifilm GFX50S whose sensor resolution is 50 megapixels. In addition, the body design is also frost resistant to -10 degrees Celsius, dust and damp.

Fujifilm GFX100S still shares the same sensors and processors as the GFX100S. The camera relies on a 102 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and an X-Processor 4 processor. So, on paper the photo and video capabilities are not much different from the first generation.
To record video Fujifilm GFX100S is capable of recording video up to 4K 30fps resolution with aspect ratio of 16:9 or 17:9. The camera supports video recording with a bit rate of up to 400Mbps, a 10-bit 4:2:0 F-Log format that can be directly stored on an SD memory card or to an external recorder via an HDMI port and can record video in simulated movie mode.
Coming with a more compact body, Fujifilm is also updating the 5-axis stabilizing features embedded in its body. The dimensions of this stabilizing feature are reduced by 20% and 10% lighter when compared to the stabilizing features in the GFX100. Stabilization capability is also enhanced with stabilization capability up to 6-stop. Better 0.5 Stop from GFX100 with stabilization capability up to 5.5 stops.
GFX100s also maintains the hybrid autofocus system used by GFX100. The autofocus phase detection system it carries covers almost 100% of the sensor area. A total of 425 focus points are available on this camera. Focus tracking algorithms in AF and Face/Eye AF Tracking modes are also enhanced with faster and more precise capabilities.
For other features, the GFX 100S features Fujifilm's 19 exclusive movie simulation effect options, two USH-II memory card slots, can shoot at 5fps, and carries a 3.2-inch touchscreen.
