HTC Desire 20+

HTC Desire 20+ Manual - I was pleasantly surprised to write this, but HTC has just presented its second smartphone in the last 10 weeks. This is a big change in relation to - so far - a very lazy publishing policy. So we know the HTC Desire 20+ model.

2020 is very difficult for HTC. In the list of smartphones released by Taiwan since last January, there are only two items HTC Wildfire R70 and HTC Desire 20 Pro

At the same time, other manufacturers are able to deliver at least three, four or more smartphones. HTC's approach to new products confirms what we've known for a long time - the company is now more focused on virtual reality systems than on smartphones. Luckily, she didn't allow herself to be completely forgotten, as today's premiere of another representative of the Desire family was announced.

Hopes for HTC's new flagship were hit by the inaugural launch of HTC Desire 20+. This is a fairly specific model, because although it has a processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G) slightly faster than the one used on the HTC Desire 20 Pro, the IPS display resolution with a diagonal of 6.5 inches means nothing. It's only HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels).

The smartphone home is marked with the transverse lines we've seen in Desire 20 Pro. On the back we found a fingerprint reader and an island with a camera lens.

The smartphone uses four sensors:

  • 48 Mpix (f/1.8)
  • 5 Mpix (f/2.2, ultra-wide, 115°)
  • 5 Mpix (as depth sensor)
  • 2 Mpix (f/2.4, for macro photos)

On the front there is a selfie camera with a matrix of 16 Mpix, aperture f / 2.0.

The specification comes with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, and a 5,000 mAh battery. There is also an NFC and headphone port on the board. It's entirely managed by Android 10. The dimensions of the device are 164.9 x 75.7 x 9.0 mm, and weigh 203 g (weight!)

The smartphone is available for 8,490 Taiwanese dollars, which is about PLN 1,150. We don't yet have information about its international premiere. We have a review of HTC Desire 20 Pro in preparation. If you're wondering if HTC can still "play the smartphone", wait for the publication!
