Canon EOS M50 Mark II Manual - Both workers and content creators alike need quality cameras, for video conference purposes or other activities such as live-streaming. "User-friendly and versatile for both photos and videos, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II allows users to easily create quality 4K photos and videos, in a variety of scenarios," Udagawa Eiichi, VP of Regional ICP Sales & Marketing, Canon Singapore, said in a release.
"With enhanced live streaming features and video features, users can quickly upload their videos on social media platforms to share on the go," he added. Just like the previous EOS M50, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II has a 24.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor with a DIGIC 8 processor and Dual Pixel CMOS AF. Canon provides some new features to make video recording easier.
Although the focus technology is still the same, Canon's latest mirrorless one already supports face & eye tracking, able to follow the subject automatically to stay focused despite moving. This feature works when shooting photos or videos. The Canon EOS M50 Mark II can also record video vertically, suitable for instagram content today.
The second feature brought in is the ability of this camera to be used as a webcam. There are two ways that you can use it by using a USB cable and connecting via the EOS Webcam Utility app on your PC, or through hdmi output directly. It also live-streams live, although limited to YouTube only.
Through a flexible 3-inch vari-angle display, canon EOS M50 Mark II now has a smartphone-like capability that comes with tap to focus directly from its screen. The timer feature is also brought into video mode, so that those who want to record the vlog don't have to cut the beginning while stretching their hands away from the camera.
Scheduled to be available in late November 2020, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II will be sold from USD600 (body only), USD700 with EF-M 15-45MM and USD930 kit lenses with two lenses (EF-M 15-45mm & EF-M 55-200mm).
In addition to mirrorless, Canon also introduced a new flash kit, the Speedlite EL-1 that is suitable for lighting angles ranging from 14mm to 200mm. Its strength can be flexibly regulated through 14 levels, as low as 1/8192. Can be combined 15 units at a time, this device sells for USD1100.
