ZTE nubia Red Magic 6 Manual - Those looking for a gamer's phone can find interesting options in Nubia: this week, a brand controlled by ZTE China confirmed the launch of Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro, a pair of smartphones equipped with a Snapdragon 888 chip, a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and RAM up to 18 GB.
Both models were developed in partnership with Tencent (a company with a strong presence in the gaming market) and immediately attracted attention through its appearance. If the front is suitable for conventional smartphone models, the back is full of intricate details that do not deny the target audience of both products.
But on the hardware side Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro are really famous. It starts with the screen. On both phones, the AMOLED panel, measuring 6.8 inches, a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a frequency of up to 165 Hz, in addition to a ring sampling frequency of 500 Hz.

As already mentioned, the processor is Snapdragon 888. However, the amount of RAM varies. While Red Magic 6 has 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5, Red Magic 6 Pro can come with 12 or 16 GB of memory of the same type.
Red Magic 6 Pro also has a Transparent Edition version that features LPDDR5 16 or 18 GB.
Another difference between the two new features is seen in the battery. The Red Magic 6 has a 5,050 mAh unit and comes with a 66 W fast charger.
A little loss, isn't it? It's normal. Red Magic 6 Pro compensates for smaller batteries with a 120 W charging system. Here, charging time from 0 to 100% takes just a 17-minute plug-in!
For the record, the Red Magic 6 66 W charger takes 38 minutes to perform the same procedure, which is also impressive.
The camera sets are identical on both smartphones. The back has three sensors: a 64 megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens, and a 2 megapixel camera for macros. The front area has an 8 megapixel selfie camera.
The difference between the two models is again visible on the back. While Red Magic 6 has a surface made entirely of glass, Red Magic 6 Pro adds aluminum plates there, which theoretically contributes to heat dissipation.
Speaking of heat, it should be noted that the model has an internal cooler of 18,000 rpm and, in the Pro version, 20,000 rpm. Because Red Magic 6 Pro Transparent Edition has a transparent back, as the name suggests, the cooler is decorated with colored LEDs.
Other features include Android 11, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, a fingerprint reader integrated into the screen and a headphone jack, an increasingly rare item in high-end phones.
Nubia Red Magic 6 product line is pre-ordered in China. Availability is expected in more countries by the end of the month, but details of the international rollout will not be released until the 16th.
In the Chinese market, prices range from 3,799 yuan (8 GB + 128 GB Red Magic 6) to 6,599 yuan (18 GB + 512 GB Red Magic 6 Pro Transparent Edition). Both amounts are equivalent to R$3,330 and R$5,780, respectively.
