The Galaxy A32 5G is certainly less expected than the Galaxy A52, whose predecessor is the best-selling Android smartphone in the world in 2020. But the A32 5G is the cheapest 5G smartphone at Samsung. And that's remarkable. Moreover, its commercial launch started today, information communicated by Samsung France. And its recommended public price is 329 euros in 128GB version (that's the price you'll find in Samsung's official store).
At the same time, the brand's international press service unveiled another Galaxy A32: the 4G version. It is a smartphone that is visually identical to the Galaxy A32 5G. He takes the photographic quintet at the back and the notch screen at the front, served by a beautiful border. And we expected the Galaxy A32 4G to be relatively close to the Galaxy A32 4G. But that is not the case, quite the contrary.
A VERY DIFFERENT, IF NOT BETTER, 4G VERSION!
There are many different elements between the two versions. First there is the screen. The slab of the A32 4G is slightly smaller, 6.4 inches, but its definition is much higher (Full HD), for a resolution that soars: 411 pixels per inch (compared to 270 for the 5G version). In addition, the slab is Super AMOLED and it is 90 Hz compatible. The visual experience should therefore be much better than the 4G version. In addition, the slab incorporates a fingerprint reader, while it is placed on the slice in the Galaxy A32 5G.
Another change is photography. The A32 5G's 48-megapixel main sensor is replaced by a 64-megapixel model. The lens always opens to f/1.8 and a phase-detection autofocus is always present. The panoramic sensor (8 megapixels, aperture at f/2.2) does not change. The same goes for the macro sensor (5 megapixels, aperture at f/2.4). On the other hand, the definition of the camera that calculates distances increases from 2 megapixels to 5 megapixels. At the front, the A32 5G's 13-megapixel webcam is replaced by a 20-megapixel model.
Last major change, the SoC. The Dimensity 720 5G is replaced by the Helio G80. The founder remains the same (MediaTek), but the fine engraving decreases: from 7 nm to 12 nm. The most powerful cores go at the same speed (2 GHz), but they are certainly less well optimized in terms of energy management. Also the GPU is less good. Also note that the A32 4G is no longer NFC compatible.
For the rest no change. 5000 mAh compatible 15 watt fast charge battery. WiFi ac and Bluetooth 5.0. 4 to 8GB of RAM depending on the version. From 64 to 128GB of internal storage with possible extension. And One UI 3.0, on an Android 11 basis, still at the controls. So here's a Galaxy A32 4G very amazing when compared to the 5G version. It remains to be seen whether it will be sold in France and at what price. If Samsung France decides to take it out, we will know more in the coming weeks.
