Huawei Mate X2 Manual - Two years after its Mate X, Huawei presented a replacement. The Mate X2 still features a folding screen, but it's moved into its case, and gets a secondary display.
Change the course to Mate X2. Huawei illustrated in 2019 with the Mate X, a folding smartphone whose screen is outside the device, and today presents its replacement.
The smartphone is mainly distinguished by the integration of folding screens on the inside, equipped with an outside screen, such as the Samsung Fold series.

This Huawei Mate X2, unveiled today in China, comes with an 8-inch main screen. This OLED panel displays 2480 x 2200 pixels, with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, as does a 6.45-inch exterior display, with a classic ratio of 21:9, featuring 2700 x 1160 pixels. It is penetrated with an oblong notch that holds a 16 Mpx sensor.
On the back of the smartphone, meaning on the left of its secondary screen, Huawei offers a quadruple photo module for the less complete, with its main sensor 50 Mpx (RYYB), an ultra wide angle of 16 Mpx, and two periscopic zooms (12 Mpx with 3x zoom and 8 Mpx with a 10x zoom), all stabilized, except for the ultra wide angle.
Designed as a mainstay of Huawei technology, the Mate X2 is equipped with the latest chip, the Kirin 9000 that has been crossed in the Mate 40 Pro, flanked by 8 GB of RAM and offering compatibility with 5G. Storage space, can be added via AN NM card, of 256 GB or 512 GB is also planned.
On the battery side, Huawei relies on a capacity of 4500 mAh and a fast charging of 55 W. We note that the fingerprint reader is hidden at the edges, and offers WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 in the wireless connectivity department. Lastly, note that this smartphone, which was unveiled in China, is based on EMUI 11 (Android 10) with Huawei Cellular Service.
There is no mention of availability outside China at this time to note. Therefore, we would be satisfied to note that the smartphone will be available there this month at a price of 17,999 yuan (256 GB) or 18,999 yuan (512 GB), or about 2,290 and 2,420 euros excluding taxes.
