Fujifilm GFX 100 IR

Fujifilm GFX 100 IR Manual - With the success of Fujifilm GFX 100, Fujifilm once again broke into the world of photography by presenting GFX 100 IR. Developed from GFX 100, GFX 100 IR brings infrared photography capabilities and can produce photos at higher resolutions.

In the design sector Fujifilm GFX 100 IR still maintains the design of the GFX 100. The specifications are still the same. The camera still carries a 102 megapixel BSI-CMOS medium format sensor supported by X-Processor 4 processor performance.

The difference between the two is in the feature. Fujifilm GFX 100 IR supports infrared photography. Fujifilm installs an IR (infrared) filter right in front of its sensor. According to Fujifilm, with the infrared capability of GFX 100 IR can capture details that cannot be seen by the naked eye. For this reason, GFX 100 IR is only presented for special needs such as forensics, to the field of science and culture preservation.

For example in forensic research scenarios, with infrared capability GFX 100 IR will be very useful to identify fake documents. Meanwhile, in the scenario of preserving science and culture GFX 100 IR can be used to analyze the color of pigments in art works or artefacts surrender.

The second difference is then in the Pixel Shift Multi-Shot feature. In GFX 100 IR this Pixel Shift Multi-Shot feature allows GFX 100 IR to produce photos up to 400 megapixel resolution. That way, GFX 100 IR can make very detailed photos.

Fujifilm GFX 100 IR is planned to be available in the first quarter of 2021. Given that the camera is designed for special needs, the Fujifilm GFX 100 IR will not be sold freely in the market.
